This post is coming to you live from a public library computer.
I'd like to think of it as being on location.
I am supposed to be out getting a few books. I couldn’t help it that the poor computer was staring at me, come hithering me over to use it. Big sad monitor all lonely.
Be kind to your local technology. It’s a rule.
Do you think I need to join Bloggers Anonymous? Is this the first sign of a problem? Do you think….Aw hell….
Jimmy Crack Corn!
That’s right! Yes, this blog is a guilty pleasure for me. I admit it. There.
Admitted it- First step.
Not giving a crap-Second step.
Now go chase someone with a real problem.
Not shaking this vice. Can’t make me. No matter how many frowns I may get because I shoved some poor soul out of my way so that I could use the computer first.
She probably has insurance.
Anyway, I have always been of the school –Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you cry alone. Well the other day, I lost it over lint and I could swear that the cat got a little misty. No longer holds water.
And before becoming a mom, whenever I would hear a mother yelling at a child in the store or at the park I would wonder- Now what kind of a woman yells at her kid that way?
Now seven years into it, when I hear a mother yelling in the store or at the park I wonder Now what the hell did that kid do to their mother to make her have to scream like that. Tsk tsk.
‘Ahem…. excuse, me but there are several patrons waiting to use this computer.’
The librarian gently nudges.
Uh helloooo, typing here! ‘Yeah, okay, I’ll be off in a sec.’
Whore.
So as I was saying…
‘You’ve been on here for quite a while. I think that it is time for someone else to take a turn’ One of the patrons pointed out.
Hmm...Now how would a healthy well-balanced individual have responded?
How the hell should I know?
That's ok, I've been kicked out of better.
Whew! Thank God for my laptop!

Aw, girlfriend... You're not alone. I used to have a horse, now I have a blog. I love my blog, but I really miss my horse. Maybe I'll go over to my blog now and write about that.
That was hilarious!!! I laughed out loud at the part about seeing mothers yelling at their kids in public. So true! I love your blog! And what a crotchety librarian!
It's becoming an addiction for me as well! Facebook and blogging! Love 'em! :-)
haha it seem that everybody is having that same pull toward the pc these days.

hahahaha "whore." that's what i'd be thinking in my head too. is that bad?
hahahaha! you're cracking me up. ps. i was looking longingly at the computer when i was in the library a few days ago too. had it not been for the kids, well, yada yada yada.
Damn library patron won't let a girl get her blog on!
you are so completely normal, open computer = blog with me please!! thanks for following shaking the tree..
I used to be one of those "library ladies" until I quit to WAH! I had to laugh at the post.
Stopping by from MBC
OMG! I am the exact same way! I think things like, "Wouldn't this be great to write about?" And then I think I am screwed up for thinking about my blog all the time. I also am pretty sure that my husband is sick of it and I am only like 3 months in.
He sucks.
Mrs. Call Me Crazy
I'm having a serious love affair with my laptop...
i want a laptop. grrrr.
cute blog, thanks for stopping by mine and commenting!
Hey, thanks for stopping by! It's great to meet other blog obsessed friends like ourselves!
p.s. I'm jealous of your laptop. My el cheap-o craptastic computer is pretty much exactly like the public library ones.
Hahahaha I always leave your blog with a smile on my face, you crack me up!!! I keep my good ol laptop next to me all the time so let me know if you are joining bloggers anonymous cuz i'm right there with ya! LOL
I think your blog is lovely! I have an award for you at http://kats-confessions.blogspot.com/
when you have a chance. Have a great day!
I bet the pc was really for her because she needed to check comments on her blog. I betcha that's it!
Blogging is definitely important in my book!!!
Don't people know the importance of a great post?!! You need concentration, totally uttered silence. Is a little peace and quite too much to ask?!! And now you can't even get that at the library. What is going on in this world? I tell ya! What are you supposed to do? Ignore that beautiful little (un)monitored face staring back at you with those big beautiful keys just waiting to be tapped. I think NOT! You keep your head held down on the little screen and don't get up til you're good and ready! Besides, this isn't just about you. This is about all of us and how much we love it here. So don't let them distract you. Keep on keeping on.
{Hmmmmm, I think I just gave myself a little pep talk while I was at it :o)
Blogging = pure addiction. Totally with ya girl!
Hi I just wanted to let you know that I have given you two awards and you can pick them up at

Thanks,
Robyn
Never thought of using a library computer to write a post. What a great idea....on location! I'm gonna do it!
It's a public library and you write a public blog! Ergo since you are providing a public service you deserve extra computer time! :p
LOL!
I work in a library and always see the mad computer dash. I too am guilty of visiting another library and finding myself drawn to the computer to update a blog.
And the mom thing? Yes, I used to harshly judge that yelling mom now I'm ready to throw in with her!

I seek out free wifi now like whores on crack. If there is a therapy group, sign me up too.
Sorry, I meant like whores on crack seeking out drug. Not that whores on crack cannot be looking for free wifi, I am not prejudiced like that, but then the whole witty metaphor thing does not really work...
Okay guys....First B.A. meeting held at the nearest public library.
First one to the computer wins! Oh...bring your own first aid kit (-:!
I can't figure it out. I've always got at least one and a half jobs, too many hobbies and a wife who is not exactly maintenance-free, but the blog still calls to me. At least in your case, it's time well spent. Oh, and thanks for dropping by.
This post is hilarious! I think I need to be in BA too! I have become a total addict!
LOL, you have it bad. And you're super funny. :)
