I See Blog People

Hello!!!

I wanted to thank you guys for your kind and encouraging emails and comments. This blogworld has proven, yet again, to be over-the-top amazing. And I appreciate it more than you know.

If feels like a million years since I've been here! ...But betcha it feels longer to my husband who has been the unsuspecting, stand-in host to my incessant ramblings.

I don't think he quite knew what him 'em.

Surprise verbal attacks...it's what's for dinner.

Most of you know why I haven't been able to blog around as much as I'd like to these days.... and contrary to popular belief, I did not join the Witness Protection Program.

Their medical plan sucks just as much as my job's.

er...so I've heard...

No, it started with a stupid little perfume commercial…you know ....the one ‘bout

Bringing home the bacon, frying it up in a pan…

Uh. Yeah. That one.

Well, apparently all I can do with bacon is take it out of the refrigerator and stare at it with indecent and un-kosher like longing.

And my husband "cannot forget he’s a man" on his own damned time thank you very much.

Isn't that why God created airports?

But I was hoping, after a while-I know not to expect any miracles- to have my son be able to pick me out of a police line up without having to turn all the suspects around to face a computer before making a positive ID.

It’s the little things.

And my job....well, listen to this....

I actually have to pay attention in order to get paid.

I know! When exactly I allowed that to happen I have no idea.

But let's just say that whoever started the whole idea of commission-only crap should be shot.

Or blogged.

....Shafty, mind-twisting system that.

But since I've gotten all used to that electricity, eating and staying in my house thing...I thought it might be a good idea to give it my best shot.

And the truth is, I hate to feel like I'm doing half-ass at anything…

Obviously, I need to be a whole ass or nothing at all.

...My mother being proud wouldn't even begin to cover that last one.

All things life are hard to juggle at times I guess. And I really miss this blog that has been like a second home to me.

I knew I should have gone to Whole Ass Juggling College dammit!

OK, anyone not know what the hell I'm talking about, raise your hand.

I know, me too.

Didn't know you had front row seats to Erratic and Unstable Mind Theatre did ya?

Clearly holding in your blogs is bad for the system.

Bacon...Police Line ups... The Mortgage Mofia...

It’s rough up here IRL yo.

…and the diseases and germs!....OMG you would not believe the diseases and germs!…..Man, good thing I don’t talk or touch people!

But it really feels good to visit and be back here. I've missed you guys!

And honestly, I think of you all more often then my short attention span should technically allow and hope you guys are doing well and are still as awesome as ever!

So I guess this all begs the question….

What do you all think of bacon?

I love bacon! And I love seeing you again! And I love being first! So, not to sound like my bacon, er brain is fried, but does this mean you're to continue working and not blogging or that you'll continue blogging and not working? Either way, fantastic to see you!

Me gawd. A post from Christmas past. I missed you! I think you should get off your ass and get your Whole Ass Juggling degree at night. I've got a half-assed degree, and I ain't bringing home the bacon. And I so love those little piggy strips. Hope you continue posting.

Oh, you are the best.

I'll take what I can get from you. Once every 3 months, fine..I'll take it.

Because each visit here is the awesome, with a side of sauce.

bwwahahhahhahaha! "the germs, oh very, the germs in real life."

You crack me up, girl.

I got a bit confused. So While the airport was flying your whole bacon ass away into the witness protection program You learned to juggle germs? What the Heck??

I actually knew what you were talking about the whole time. Followed along...no problems...not sure what that says about me..or you.

I'm wondering if my recent move to 3rd grade helped my tracking ability....nonetheless I'm not going to question it because you singlehandedly improved my craptastic Monday. I've learned not to question such blessings. I just take them as they come and I'm grateful for them.

Girl, girl, girl, I come here a couple of times a week, just to be in your awesome presence even if you aren't here. It's your house, you know. It makes me feel closer. Bacon is God's gift to man and woman, Honey. I have no idea why a woman like you has to work at all, since I would certainly vote you in for Empress and pay taxes to support you and many others would as well. Damn! It's so good to see your pretty face again!

HI!!! - I've missed all your posts - whole or half assed or whatever full ass coverage you're willing to throw out.

Electricity, food and kid bills SUCK - Just threw away $298 yesterday on a dentist appt for the youngest. (Hope she likes her Christmas present)

My husband cracks me up, when my computer starts screwing up and I follow him into his office to start yacking his ear off he scrambles for the door and stays up all night to get me running again - what a man.

I love bacon! Unfortunately I despise the abuse in slaughter houses, so I went vegetarian. Poor sweet little intelligent piggies. They are so cute! Oink, oink, snort. Um, so what was the question again?

Glad to see you back in Blogsville.

Bacon... it's gotta be done the British way and fried until crispy!

It's good to see you here. It was getting a bit dusty and Evil Twin was starting to write her name in it.

Wow. A job where you have to pay attention and work? That's just CRAZY!

Just keep your whole or partial ass out of trouble, 'K?

Bacon is awesome! I actually right now have a jar of bacon-infused vodka sitting in my freezer. I keep on forgetting to buy tomato juice for Bacon-y Bloody mary. (hey, now, who's random with mental issues? Any wonder why we keep on stalking each other??!!) Just throwing in bacon in your post and I will lick it up!!!!

So crazy! I've been out of the loop for quite some time and thought to myself as i sat down for a moment, hey, I wonder what Mrs Blogalot has been up to? Is it a coincidence that you wrote this post? Is it just for me? :)

This blogging world really is a crazy and sometimes beautiful place. Look at all of us who have been missing you. :)

ps. bacon is the worst. ever.

I was feeling guilty for not checking my favorite bloggers for many, many weeks, so I snuck in here on my tip-toes wearing sunglasses. I tried to blend in with the wallpaper. So I was secretly relieved that you hadn't been blogging for a while. (I'm a terrible, selfish person, I know. I hate the thought that I may have missed some fun.)

As for bacon, my friend who is an excellent cook recently made bacon-wrapped brownies. You heard me.

drollgirl on December 17, 2010 at 1:06 PM said...

it is so hard to keep up with it all. i try to sneak blogging in at work, and then i am annoyed when i actually have to "do my job". lol! not enough time to do everything at 100%, so i kind of slack in all areas. lol

hope you have a great weekend!

LucyCooper on December 17, 2010 at 7:46 PM said...

Riiigghhhttt there with ya my dear. We're all in the same boat, right?

And, and this risk of sounding plaintive and ungrateful, 2010 has been the year from hell at this house. I refuse to completely quit blogging on principle alone, but it's hanging by a very thin thread.

Stay with it! Don't go into the light!!

Hi Mrsblogalot,
I'm so happy that you popped back into the blog 'lard'er so to speak. I love bacon, but have been annexed into fake bake due to a run of vegetarianism, and anti pork rallying in my home. Now it's only soy or turkey bacon in the family...That's right carbonara with out the onara. It scares me during these economic times to think that indeed the only way, I'm going to get some real bacon is to return to work and bring some home! Yikes, Juggling already seems like a full time job without joining the circus too. Happy juggling, and hope you get to enjoy the bacon you bring home. It's seriously great to read your writing again.

I personally love the bacon, we have a past relationship. My Dr. Whitecoat...not so much so now we have our annual BLT's when the first of the tomatoes ripen. Shhhhh, sometimes I go a second rounds a little later. Don't tell!!!

You girl have a very blessed holiday season filled with friends, family and fudge baby, heaps of rich delicious fudge. :o)

Chocolate makes everything better, ya know???

Grab An Award-see below

Finally, you do not need to be a recipient of an award to give an award!

Grab An Award – My way of awarding it forward. The only rules are: THERE ARE NO RULES (Only rule is no rules? Rule for rules? Is that a rule? I’m so confused)

And what is nicer than giving an award with no strings attached just because?

So in the spirit of fun blog awarding and ‘cause I think they’re a great way to connect and share the blog love with our awesome fellow bloggers (without the chain letter affect-they give me the willies), I have created The Divine Blogger and Rock Star Blogger Awards to grab-I know, fancy right? -(o.k. so I won't quit my day job)

Grab it and let the lucky recipient (s) know that you have given them a rule-free award and not to be afraid to pick it up on your site. Once they grab it from your site, they are free to pass it along to others (rule-free of course). And anyone can grab it from their sites to pass on as well.

Hope you all enjoy awarding it forward!

Now hurry! Go make room in your closet for all that good karma. And please get rid of those old sweatpants while you're at it! (-:
